For all you BSG fans out there (I'm still trying to make it through the first season, kind of lost the thread but will definitely pick it back up), it looks like SciFi is going to develop a prequel series about the creation of the Cylons, etc.

Wonderful! I love that you always have the latest SciFi news. :D Are you enjoying BSG so far? I just watched the miniseries and I'm waiting for S-1 Disc 1 from Netflix. I usually watch on the SF channel, but I never got a chance to see the very beginning. I pestered my best friend and her husband to add BSG to their queue and they just did. Her husband is a big sci fi fan, and he his a major Star Wars enthusiasts and collector. I'm sure he'll love it.

I have definitely enjoying it. We've watched the miniseries and like 6 or 7 episodes. It is totally awesome. However, it's very subtle, and for some reason we got in the habit of watching it late in the evening, and so it would put C to sleep everytime! We are on a Stargate Atlantis kick right now, but once we power through the 1st (for the second time) and 2nd season of that I plan to pick BSG back up.

Do you DVR? It's the way and the path for watching TV. And I liked the one we had there in Houston (Time Warner) much better than the one we have now (Comcast).

Yes, I use my DVR religiously. It makes TV watching so much more enjoyable. But, I started watching BSG late, partly because of the hype on LJ. :)

What's the difference between Time Warner and Comcast?

With Comcast, we had to ask specifically for a 2-tuner DVR, which we didn't know at first, which was a hassle (could only tape/view one program, and then we had to work to clean it off to go in and get it switched to a 2-tuner). Also, the menu on Time Warner was more coherent, and had better options for taping a series.

Ahhh, that would suck. I always tape two things at the same time. But I hate that I can't watch a third show while I'm taping two other things. However, I can watch something I previously taped while taping two things.

Oooo that sounds fascinating! :D I need to get back into my BSG watching. I've got the first part of S2 in my netflix queue.

Yes, me too. Then maybe I can catch the new series from the beginning. Of course, I imagine it will be another year or two before they start it.
