Dems Romp

This was the headline on MSNBC. Let's hope we see it again in 2006 and 2008!!!

I am very, very happy that Kaine won the gubernatorial in Virginia, as well as Corzine in New Jersey.

It's just too bad Texas is the only bad news of the night.

Kansas. Don't forget Kansas.

Carrie, bringing doom, gloom and PMS since 1985.

Ah, but I just found out this morning that all 8 members of the Dover, PA, schoolboard that had previously changed the their regulations to allow "intelligent design" to be taught in science classes were all voted out of office yesterday. There is a court case on this one, and I doubt anything will happen until after the case is resolved, which should be soon, but the new members of the board had run on removing this policy. So if the court decision is in the school board's favor, they plan on then changing the policy back, but if the court decision is against the school board (which I think the school board hopes that it will be), then they will not appeal the decision.

I imagine we will see the same thing happen in Kansas in the their next elections, just like it did in 2000, where a new school board will be elected which will reverse this decision. I imagine until then Kansas will be the butt of many a late night talk show joke.

Also, it looks like not only did Arnold's 4 propositions fail in California, so did the proposition that would have required parental notification before a minor could get an abortion.

Hey, and Maine! Gay rights in Maine finally, after years and years of fighting for it, so I'm pretty happy about that.

Oh, yes! I forgot to mention this, thanks. Go Maine!
