LOTR fan? Made of money?

Why yes, they are releasing yet another edition of the LOTR movies, this time combining the theatrical and extended editions and then adding yet even more material. Can you say "cash cow"?

(And sadly, I will probably buy them.)

Can anyone say "marathon?" Because I'm thinking that one should combine that with the animated versions of The Hobbit (hey, I have that one on DVD), The Lord of the Rings, and The Return of the King, and see how long I can stay awake, subsisting only on popcorn and coke.

Yeah! You can make it a charity marathon. Others can sponser you per movie or per hour watching.

Don't forget the National Geographic specials as well (I think there are two, one for the first movie and one for the last).

I forgot about the National Geographic specials! Much like I forgot Poland in the World Cup.

But yeah, doing it for charity sounds like a good idea. Also, get other people involved, and have them get sponsors, too.
